Neurology
Dr. Irina Popa is a highly qualified neurology specialist who works at the Neuroaxis Neurology Clinic as well as the Neurology Department of the Emergency University Hospital Bucharest, notably in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Epilepsy Surgery Center. She has been studying for her Ph.D. concurrently since 2016 at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, with an emphasis on the structure and connections of the human cingulate cortex.
Dr. Popa's vast experience in neurology started during her internship at the Emergency University Hospital in Bucharest, where she studied epilepsy surveillance and surgery from 2014 to 2018. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2013 with a thesis on "Non-motor symptoms and quality of life in Parkinson's Disease patients" from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Ha?ieganu" in Cluj-Napoca, where she obtained her medical degree from 2007 to 2013. Dr. Popa's commitment to improving the knowledge and management of neurological illnesses is demonstrated by her efforts to advance both her clinical practice and academic research.
