Doral Diagnostic Center

Advance MRI Imaging was founded by Ramon Cabrera Jr., a Cuban immigrant with a passion for all facets of medicine. Ramon initially worked for a well-known international pharmaceutical company, where he gained extensive knowledge about laboratory testing. After more than 20 years of service, Ramon took the courageous step of opening his own laboratory, which he successfully ran with his wife, Mary Cabrera.Ramon’s interest in diagnostics eventually expanded to include medical imaging. For years, he immersed himself in this field until he acquired his own MRI center. Starting with only a mobile MRI unit in the building where the center remains today, Ramon dreamed of creating a fully equipped multimodal diagnostic center. Sadly, he passed away suddenly before realizing this dream.However, his wife and children bravely continued his vision. In 2002, Mary Cabrera and her son Daniel Martinez partnered to transform the small diagnostic center with the mobile MRI unit into the successful, fully equipped center it is today.In 2006, after Doral became an incorporated city, Daniel and Mary decided to rename the center Doral Medical Imaging to honor the city that had been so influential in their journey to success.In 2014, Doral Medical Imaging acquired a new state-of-the-art center in Kendall, Florida, now known as Advance MRI. The center continues to honor Ramon’s legacy by adding new testing modalities and serving the community in a warm and friendly family atmosphere.
