Dr. Canlas is a native of San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine with a medical degree after earning his undergraduate degree from Angelo State University. He finished his residencies at Plantation General Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. As a reflection of his treatment goals of quality of life and function restoration, Dr. Canlas leads an active lifestyle. He is dedicated to providing the best possible patient care while helping patients resume fulfilling, healthy lifestyles.
Dr. Canlas is an expert in treating foot and ankle conditions both surgically and non-surgically. He has received training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, lower extremity trauma, arthroscopic surgery, and sports medicine. The American Board of Podiatric Surgery has certified him as board-certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons has elected Dr. Canlas as a Fellow.
