Dr. Mitschke hails from Houston, TX. He successfully finished his medical education and specialized training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He went back to Houston to pursue his Cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute located in the Texas Medical Center. He possesses board certifications in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Mitschke has a particular focus on performing pacemaker implantations and treating severe and difficult coronary disease. This includes procedures such as coronary atherectomy and revascularization of chronic complete occlusions.
