Dr. Kamalakannan Desikan, MD, FACC, is a highly esteemed cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiology. With an extensive background in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Desikan is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Desikan earned his medical degree from Madras Medical College in Chennai, India, in 1997. Following medical school, he completed his internship at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, NY, gaining valuable clinical experience in internal medicine and patient care.
Driven by a passion for advancing his expertise in cardiology, Dr. Desikan pursued fellowship training in cardiology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI. During his fellowship, he received comprehensive training in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases, further honing his skills in interventional cardiology.
